ABOUT THE WORKSHOP!
Fashion Boot Camp 101 is a one day 3-hr workshop for teens to learn all about the fashion industry taught by Marissa Rizzuto. Based on the popular guide written by Marissa, the Fashion Boot Camp 101 guide has been featured in Girl’s Life, InStyle, Fashionclub.com and Teen Vogue Fashion University '06.
If you’re a teen who dreams of a career in fashion, this workshop will let you in on all of the necessary information you will need from finding the right college to learning about various career paths and important websites that you should be frequenting.
Fashion Boot Camp 101
will include information like:
- Preparing for college
- Discuss different career paths: Buying, Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Fashion Public Relations, Sales, Fashion Styling, Magazines, Designing
- How to get an internship
- Important websites, magazines and other media outlets
- Cover Letter and Resume Writing
- How to prepare for an interview in the fashion industry
- PLUS MORE!
***We will be adding a fabulous Freelance Fashion Designer who will dish on her career working with many urban brands!
***Plus, read a one-on-one interview with the ultra fabulous designer Rachel Pally, that she exclusively did for FBC 101! Find out what it’s really like being a designer and creating your own line of clothing!
*Each girl will receive a fabulous goody bag filled with treats any fashionista would love!
*You will also receive the Fashion Boot Camp 101 Guide!
